On September 14, Grayson Kelly stepped out from behind the scenes for the first time. The house welcomed members of New York’s fashion and creative communities for an intimate viewing of the Spring/Summer 2027 collection, an evening built, as always, around the people whose eye and perspective it has come to trust.
Over aperitivo, guests met the designer and moved through the collection at close range: special fabrications, key seasonal pieces, and the house’s signature Made to Measure offering. It was presented not as spectacle, but as conversation.
Designed in Los Angeles and crafted in Italy, Grayson Kelly takes classic menswear traditions and softens their grip. Spring/Summer 2027 returns to photographs of the designer’s father, taken in Hawaii and Los Angeles in the 1970s, an era remembered less for its polish than for its ease and its willingness to be a little unguarded. That spirit runs through the collection: relaxed tailoring, prints with a sense of humor, and familiar masculine forms worn looser than expected.
It is not a rejection of tradition, and not a straight embrace of it either. It is a translation.
Having shown intimately in Los Angeles and Milan, New York felt like the natural next room for the house to step into.
